Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? Sleeping Arrangements and Their Downfall

I don't know how it happened, but I woke up, it was dark, and I was trapped somewhere. I started screaming, and it took forever - and I mean forever - for Mom to show up. She turned on the light and said:

"Garrett?"

"Wha?" through my much-needed tears

"Where are you?"

"Righ he-yuh." Isn't it obvious? I'm here, and I need you to help me!!

Wait, I see Mom's feet. How the crap did I get here? I wriggle out, the light hurts my eyes. My mom reads me the riot act for being under my bed in the "middle of the night", but it's not my fault. I have no idea how I ended up there.

Discrimination Afoot

Louise is a blatant agist, as is evidenced by these comments of late:
"Mommy, I'm just going to be honest. Garrett is not good at coloring."
and today:
"Mommy, when babies are little, their brains are closed. That means they can't think."
Me: Why do you say that, Louise?
"Because they're not very smart."

it's my BIRTHday. it's Samantha's birthday too!

So,
it's my birthday.
tomorrow is my birthday as well.
actually, this entire week has been my birthday.
i want to go to the zoo.
i want another cupcake.
my parents are praying that God gives me just one present this year: the ability to control my tone of voice and increase the size of my heart towards others.
we'll see how that works.

on a side note, i'm doing rather well in the 'poop in the potty' world, except during naps, when i am locked in my room for 7 hours and mommy goes to the basement to run on the treadmill and i scream for mercy and finally explode.
i want to go to the zoo.

I go to the zoo with mommy

We made a deal
I poop in the potty
and we go to the zoo
I also negotiated some lollipops as an interim payment.

However, Mom has altered the contract post-haste. She now insists that I consistently poop in the potty, without accidents. I'm almost there... a few small can't-quite-make-it deposits now and then. Spring is coming, and I smell poop in the air - my own as it fills the bathroom with my own distinct odor, and the coming of the lions, tigers and bears (oh, my!).

Looking forward to seeing the sheep, cows and snakes - zoos are GREAT!

Birthdays here and there

It seems lately that there have been Birthdays here, there, and everywhere.
1.Mom
2Mamaw
3.Eliza
3 1/2.Papaw
4.Me
And then all my Friends.
So lots of Birthdays huh?.

First taste of freedom

I've been asserting myself lately.
I even have extended my Liza-leash to 12.5 feet
And I have been, hmmm, what does Mommy call it? "Using my words"
"No"
"I don't wannn to"
"I AM!"
"Stop Ighh"
I heard Daddee telling Mommee the other night that they should go easy on me, since I'm just now starting with my words, and I don't know the difference in being respectful or not.
I can only hope that they keep on thinking that for as long as possible. The fools.
